Hi-Wing was bred by Frank Bradshaw of Georgetown, Kentucky. He was born on 5 March 1963. His dam Crebilly's Hi Note was reserve to Sparkling Aire in the 1951 Yearling World Championship. In 1953 she won the Three Year Old Fine Harness Stake, in 1954 reserve Junior Fine Harness Champion and in 1955 Fine Harness Mare World Champion. She had 11 more foals of which one, Sheer Blue ( x Wing Commander) was a blue ribbon winner and attained CH-status while one, Magic Note ( x Wingmaster) was a reserve winner and also attained CH- status. A third foal, Right Note ( x Wingmaster) was a ribbon winner at the Kentucky State Fair.
Hi-Wing was imported in 1970 by Bill Sieberhagen for Fanie Naude of Vida Stud, Colesberg. He was sold thereafter to Izak Strauss and then to Hennie and Moon Louw of Lanquedoc Stables, Wellington where he had most of his success as beeding sire.
Although Hi-Wing was never a S.A. Grand Champion he won the Reserve S.A. Stallion in hand Championship in 1971 and 1972. He was a good five gaited contender at local shows and later also competed in the Single Harness Division.
His biggest success was however as breeding sire. He sired numerous S.A. Junior Champions and Reserve Champions eg. Wing's Hyacinth Rose (also the dam of Tango's Wee Pee), Hi-Amaryllis, Hi-Denza, Hi Miss Rexie, Hi Chapparal, Wing's Summerwind, Bold Ego, Wing's Denmark and Firefly Wing to name a few.
Wing's Flight, out of a Cameo's Farewell mare, Edna Denmark, also won the S.A. Grand Champion Single Harness title from 1985 -86 - 1987 with his trainer Charlie Brown.

1982 - S.A. Champion Amateur Three Gaited
1982 - S.A. Champion Ladies Three Gaited
Hi Wing's broodmares is well sought after and if when one reads the history and especially the breeding record of Wing Commander and Crebilly's Hi Note's success as a broodmare, it is no surprise!
2. Noble's Command
Noble's Command,
born 4 May 1960, was bred by J.S. Abercrombie, Versailles, KY. He was imported
by Piet Louw as a two year old in 1962. His achievements were both in the show
ring and later as stud.

Offspring:
Non Lola ( Noble's Command x Indiana's Ann) had an illustrious show career and won numerous Junior Championships in the Three Gaited and Fine Harness division for her owner Lucas Odendaal.
Lady Bird ( Noble's Command x Ethel Dolan) also owned by Lucas Odendaal, was the 1973 S.A. Three Gaited Grand Champion.
Macaskell is a Mr USA foal out of Wingnette who was out of Jean Again by Noble's Command.
The beautiful stallion Dreams Mainstay ( x Cameo's Dreams) is out of another Noble's Command mare, Miss Swanky Moon, out of the dam Miss Sonata.
In August 1969 Noble's Command was sold to Gert Kock of Orange Valley. Unfortunately he died shortly thereafter when he was only 9 years old. He regrettably only sired 28 foals. Who knows what would have become of Noble's Command legacy if he lived longer and had more purebred mares?
